A perfect day in Sandy Mush.
Jen Billstrom, Cycle to Farm Event Director, and I made final pre-event farm visits this week. Cyclists will have a fresh variety of food to sample and purchase: fresh picked blackberries, homemade jam, pastured pork and turkey, beef as well as other tasty food, and Addison Farms wine. Additionally, some of the farms will have their own crafted items for sale such as scarves, purses, hats. The farmers are ready and excited to welcome the cyclists on Saturday the 28th.
Congratulations to our friends, Ashley and Courtney. Last Saturday, Ashley surprised Courtney with a proposal on the farm, while surrounded by honey bees and chickens who all enjoyed the festive occasion. We are very happy for them, and were honored to be asked to provide the special place for this momentous occasion. We love to share this inspiring scenery with friends!
Actually, Glenn did propose to me on the farm seven years ago while we were picking blackberries on the Yellow Knob so I think a farm proposal gets you off to a good start!
