A little Tibetan Wisdom for the New Year

I love the potential and freshness of beginnings…a new year…a new season…a new adventure.  Currently, I am enjoying a lovely book, the Way to Bee: Meditation and the Art of Beekeeping.  From the book, I share this Tibetan saying, “If you want to know your past, look at your present conditions.  If you want to know your future,  look at your present actions.”  And the author, Mark Magill, continues “Intention, preparation, effort.  These are the factors that govern the results of our actions.  Whether they are done poorly or with determination – with a positive or negative attitude – affects how we will fare.  It’s far better not to wait until the snow flies to realize winter is coming.”

Happy New Year,  Glenn, Terri and Tillie
